Galloway Residence and Hillsdale College Republicans are holding a “screen on the green” presidential debate watch party Monday at 9 p.m.

Last year, more than 200 Hillsdale students gathered on Galloway’s lawn to watch the second Republican primary debate. It will bring the national event conveniently to students, College Republicans President junior Brant Cohen said.

“We found it to be a great place where people heading back to their dorms could stop by to catch a quick glimpse of the debate, especially if they did not have any intention of watching it at home,” Cohen said. “It’s nice to hear the live reactions of your fellow classmates, as each candidate talks.”

College Republicans and Galloway will provide popcorn, soda, and ice cream, and poll students after the event.

In case of rain, Phillips Auditorium will hold the event.
