Economics and Political Economy majors looking for internships need look no farther than the Hillsdale College website.
The Economics department recently created a page listing 27 internships available for students interest in public policy. The page is linked to from the Economics major page.
Professor of Economics Ivan Pongracic said he hopes the page will facilitate a good match between students and internships.
“The economics faculty is focused on ensuring that both economics and political economy students can make the greatest possible impact in the world of ideas and policies once they leave here,” Pongracic said. “We believe that this resource will put them in a better position to do so.”
Senior Katelyn D’Amour, Pongracic’s research assistant, compiled the list of internships. She said the page should have appeal for anyone interested in working in public policy, think tanks, or government agencies.
“This is a great tool for students to make the application process easier,” D’Amour said.
Each internship is listed with pertinent information, including the job’s location, application deadlines, and whether its paid. The page also lists summer seminar opportunities.
