Jeffrey Stalhood of Hillsdale, Mich., was arrested on a felony warrant for two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing death, and two counts of driving with a suspended license causing death.

Stalhood, age 45, is the alleged driver in an accident that caused two deaths in September.  Alcohol and high speeds are possibly involved.

According to Hillsdale County Sheriff Stan Burchardt, Stalhood was charged with manslaughter and negligent homicide.  The case will be investigated by the Michigan State Police.

Stalhood turned himself in to the Hillsdale police after getting a lawyer that may have convinced him to turn himself in on his warrants.

A bond of $210,000 was allowed but not posted for Stalhood’s release.
