What was your nickname growing up?

My parents still call me “Vasilikaki,” which is a sweeter version of Vasiliki.

If you switched sports, what would you switch to?

I always wanted to be a tennis player because they look so cool.

Did you watch any Olympic events this year?

I watched track cause we always have great athletes representing Greece.

What’s your best hot take?

That fried chicken restaurant everyone is obsessed with, Chick-Fil-A, is really bad.

What should everyone see when visiting Greece?

A sunset at any island.

What was the biggest culture shock since going to school in America?

I was shocked by how fast people did everything, from eating to walking around campus. 

What’s the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?

One of my teammates got me a rug with the United States of America and I just love it.

What’s the strangest food combination that you enjoy?

My teammates made me try fries with chocolate ice cream and it was not bad at all!

Who do you bother when you’re bored?

My sister. Always.

What would you be famous for in 20 years?

Hopefully, I’ll put out a commercial that promotes something Greek, and it’ll go viral.

Is breakdancing a real sport?

If I do it, it probably won’t be, but I’m sure some people make it look very athletic.
