“There are 12 groups performing, and they each have 20 minutes to perform any song that they wish,” Director of Student Activities Madelyn Clark said.

The bands will be performing songs that are more acoustic, so the concert will be different from CHP showdown, Clark said.

The concert will provide an atmosphere where students can mingle with one another since the music won’t be so loud to prevent conversation, SAB Promotions Team Member John Schaefer said.

“There’ll be some tables and chairs set up so students can listen and relax,” he said. “As of right now we’re supposed to have coffee, chai tea, and Meckley’s donuts as refreshments.”

Students can bring money if they wish to participate in some activities that will be at the concert, Schaefer said.

“There’ll be a couple of artists there from the art honorary, who will be painting portraits of students for a fee,” Schaefer said.

Although there will be some chairs provided, students are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on the quad, Clark said.
