The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance to find and identify a driver in a fatal hit and run crash that took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

The accident was in the area near Moore Road and Wildlife Drive in Fayette Township, according to the police. The Hillsdale Daily News reported that after an initial investigation, police found that 56 year-old Kevin Brewer was walking down the road before he was struck by the driver and killed.

The driver was in a white Chevy Malibu. Police are asking that anyone with more information contact the sheriff’s office at 517-437-7317 to assist in the investigation. Additionally, the police are asking that anyone who lives in the area of the crash with outdoor surveillance cameras check their video surveillance between 8:30-8:50 a.m. on Saturday morning, and notify them if any footage of the vehicle is found.
