The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assis­tance to find and identify a driver in a fatal hit and run crash that took place at approx­i­mately 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

The accident was in the area near Moore Road and Wildlife Drive in Fayette Township, according to the police. The Hillsdale Daily News reported that after an initial inves­ti­gation, police found that 56 year-old Kevin Brewer was walking down the road before he was struck by the driver and killed.

The driver was in a white Chevy Malibu. Police are asking that anyone with more infor­mation contact the sheriff’s office at 517 – 437-7317 to assist in the inves­ti­gation. Addi­tionally, the police are asking that anyone who lives in the area of the crash with outdoor sur­veil­lance cameras check their video sur­veil­lance between 8:30 – 8:50 a.m. on Sat­urday morning, and notify them if any footage of the vehicle is found.
