If you’re a Hillsdale student, you’re sure to encounter something on a fairly regular basis that seems “so Hillsdale.” Here’s a list of the top five greatest “Just Hillsdale Things” that make our school unique.

1. Central Hall

If you’ve been on campus for more than 15 minutes, it’s time to Instagram! And what could be a better representation of Hillsdale than Central Hall? Nothing. There is no other option. Photograph this building.

2. Leaving your stuff in AJ’s

We all signed the Honor Code, people. And it probably said something about respecting property rights. So you can feel totally safe leaving your expensive computer and textbooks anywhere you like, especially on one of the few tables next to an outlet because it’s not like anyone else is going to want to sit there.

3. Margaret Thatcher

Oh, Maggie. You know her, you love her. You feel so blessed to be attending the school which is home to the only statue of Margaret Thatcher on the whole entire continent. In rain or, well, snow apparently, Thatcher is here to inspire us.

4. All the eagles

Benjamin Franklin once said, “For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the representative of our country. He is a bird of bad moral character.” Benjamin Franklin was wrong.

5. Collegian Thursday
