How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as classic, feminine, and a tiny bit whimsical.

Has your fashion evolved recently?
Not very much. I used to wear jeans on Fridays at my previous job because many of my colleagues taught in jeans every day. The colleagues and students at Hillsdale are more elegant. Now, I save my jeans for the weekend.

Where do you like to shop for clothes?
I love Nordstrom — free shipping and free returns! I also like Anthropologie, J.Crew, and small boutiques that have unique pieces. Whenever I’m in France, I look for one dress and/or one pair of shoes to bring back with me.

What are your fashion staples?
Dresses, blazers, and boots.

What is your favorite piece of clothing?
A tweed J.Crew blazer with suede elbow pads. My mom bought it for me about 10 years ago when I was in grad school. She said she thought I should have it because it looked professorial. I don’t wear it often because I’m afraid to wear it out! I will keep it forever.

Who or what inspires your style?
Alicia Florrick and Carrie Bradshaw.
