Hillsdale College will be holding its fourth annual Constitution Day Seminar and Shoot on Sept. 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event, held at the John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center, was started in 2010 and is free for all students to attend. Non-student admission is $10. Guns and ammunition will be provided—.22, 9mm, and 12 gauge.

The program will begin with a presentation in Phillips Auditorium on the Second Amendment and shooting sports by Associate Professor of History David Raney, followed by a presentation on the fundamentals of shotgun shooting by Bart Spieth, range master.

A shuttle will then be available to take students to the event, where Spieth will give a mandatory safety briefing to those wishing to shoot, followed by a barbeque luncheon.

Another shooting presentation in the afternoon will be followed by four hours of shooting.

The event is sponsored by AcuSport Corporation, Smith & Wesson, and Winchester Ammunition.
