Associate Professor of History Paul Moreno is stepping down as the dean of faculty at the end of this semester.
“Paul Moreno has served as Dean of Faculty for several years now, and his work in that office has been able, instant and admirable,” Provost David Whalen said in an email to Hillsdale College faculty and staff. “Much as some might wish the office were affixed to him like a barnacle, Dr. Moreno is inexplicably eager to relinquish it. [Paul] is, and has been, a great boon for the college, and I am profoundly grateful.”
The position has not yet been filled for next year. Whalen said prerequisites for the job include “courage, temperance, justice and fortitude,” and added that “faith, hope and charity have been known to come in handy as well.”
