It’s been a long day for senior Linda Okonkowski. After a 6 a.m. practice, it’s breakfast, classes, meetings, and then another two to three hour practice. Then it’s dinner, homework, and sleep –— if there’s time. When she’s not pounding out laps in prepa- ration for her fourth NCAA Division II National Meet, beginning March 14, she’s diving into her text books priming for Michigan State University’s prestigious College of Veterinary Medicine.

Rowing team looks for club status
Though the rowing team is not an official club sport on campus, a group of both men and women are working towards club approval – Youngstrom is working with nine other girls interested in rowing, while sophomore Robert Ramsey works with four other men.

Women’s distance medley relay looks to nationals
The women of the track team’s Distance Medley Relay are running faster than any DMR team in the history of the school. Currently they are ranked sixth in the nation and on March 9 they will compete in the NCAA DII Championships in Mankato, Minn.
Women end season in GLIAC quarterfinals
The Chargers went down fighting last night, ending their season with a loss at Tiffin University in the quarterfinals of the GLIAC tournament. The No. 3 seed Dragons of Tiffin topped the No. 6 seeded Hillsdale, 68-58.
