Chemistry club on top
Eight students from Hillsdale College’s American Chemical Society chapter traveled to the University of Michigan-Flint to compete in the Battle of the Chemistry Clubs on Saturday. Though it was their first time at such a tournament, the club beat out 11 other schools, including Michigan State University and The University of Toledo.
City considers tax hike to pay for road maintenance
For the first time in decades, the Hillsdale City Council might actually find a way to start paying for long-overdue local road improvements. Council members are considering a 1 percent income tax — the maximum allowed by the state — to raise money for road repair.
Timeless city hall
The centrally located Hillsdale City Hall that just one month ago had its 100-year anniversary is a local gem of architectural design.
13 years later…
After being gone for 13 years, senior Nate Nelson is back at Hillsdale College. He is 37 years old.
