Wendy’s expects to complete its renovation by November 2021, according to Wendy’s Manager Anthony Limbacher.

The renovation has caused many changes not only for employees, but for customers as well.

Limbacher said he is excited for the new renovation, especially since it has been so long since there has been a change to the dining room.

“It hasn’t changed since it was built,” Limbacher said.

He further described his excitement at Wendy’s’ new look after everything is complete.

“I think it will definitely be interesting to see how it turns out. It is going to look very nice.”

Although the dining room has been closed for weeks, business has not decreased.

“We stay pretty busy. Wendy’s is the place to be in Hillsdale, it seems like,” Limbacher said.

He went on to explain that even though the restaurant’s business  is at a successful, steady pace, he predicts it will only increase after the renovation.

“I definitely think it will increase profits,” Limbacher said.

Another manager at Wendy’s, Brianna Connin, explained a different, more personal aspect of the renovation.

“A lot of the customers keep asking us when we are going to open again. We have a lot of regular customers who will come in here everyday,” Connin said.

She explained that elderly people often gather in the dining room for hours, staying through both breakfast and lunch.

“It’s really cute to see all the elderly people congregate together and stay here for hours.”

Connin has built a personal relationship with many of these regulars, she said.

“We have some people who come once a month and they bring us brownies. Some of them bring us candy and ask me to bring it home to my kids.”

Connin said since the dining area has been closed due to the renovation, a personal aspect is missing from her job.

“There are so many people who we already know what they are going to get as soon as they walk through the door,” Connin said. “When they come through the drive-thru, we get two seconds to talk to them. In the dining room we can actually go out and chat with them.”

“I am very excited to see what will happen to my favorite establishment in Hillsdale at the completion of the renovation,” Sophomore Nikoleta Klikovac said.
