County National Bank temporarily closed their locations because of Michigan’s uptick in COVID-19 cases. The bank will keep its drive-thru windows in operation and take appointments when necessary, according to its press release.
Elsewhere in Hillsdale, Southern Michigan Bank and Trust of Hillsdale closed its lobbies on Nov. 12, limiting its services to drive-thru and by-appointment only.
CNB closed on Nov. 9, a full week ahead of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s most recent lockdown orders issued Nov. 15. CNB cited “increasing number of local and statewide COVID-19 cases” for its decision to close its branch lobbies to the public.
“The lobby closures have allowed us to reduce our in-person contact as much as possible,” CNB marketing manager Amber Yoder said. “All CNB branch locations are receiving enhanced cleaning, including frequent sanitization of high-touch areas. We are taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our staff, customers, and community.”
CNB operates 12 branch locations across southern Michigan. Its main office is located in downtown Hillsdale on South Howell Street.
