Maker’s Market, the artisan-goods market hosted by the Students Activity Board, will return this Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Chapel Plaza.

The event will feature around 20 student and staff-run booths selling artisan items such as baked goods, crafts, jewelry, drinks. Assistant Director of Student Activities Riley Arlinghaus said it is an opportunity for campus to show creativity.

“It’s a place for students to visibly showcase their talents that usually don’t fit into some of the bigger events we put on,” Arlinghaus said.

SAB said there are several upperclassmen returning as well as a handful of freshman setting up booths.

“These people have come out multiple years in a row now,” SAB Director Zane Mabry said. Another thing we are excited for is seeing a handful of freshmen set up booths this year.”

Maker’s Market has become a fall favorite, according to Mabry.
“It’s one of those events that has become a staple on campus,” Mabry said. “It’s been recurring for several years now and it always seems to rope in new people.”
