In the midst of homework and studying for exams, many Hillsdale stu­dents still found time to join the esti­mated 100 mil. people watching Mon­day’s Pres­i­dential Debate on TV and newer digital mediums like YouTube streaming.

And they didn’t just watch #debatenight silently. They had opinions and they tweeted about them. Some tried to be funny, while others were serious.

While Hillsdale is admit­tedly more con­ser­v­ative that most other schools, its stu­dents seemed to share their gen­er­a­tion’s dis­sat­is­faction with the can­di­dates Amer­ica’s political process has pro­duced this pres­i­dential election cycle. Some expressed par­ti­sanship in their tweets, while others seemed equally unim­pressed with both parties.
