Hillsdale’s Career Services and the Herbert H. Dow II Journalism Program are partnering to bring sports and business writer John U. Bacon to campus on Dec. 3 to talk about writing and leadership.

“We always look for opportunities to partner with other departments on campus,” Career

Services Director Joanna Wiseley said. “John U. Bacon seemed like perfect opportunity

to partner with Dow Journalism.”

Bacon will give a private presentation to students in the journalism program at 11 a.m. and will offer a presentation open to the entire campus in the Knorr Dining Room at noon.

In addition to teaching at University of Michigan and Northwestern University, Bacon is the author of six books including New York Times bestseller, “Three and Out,” in which he chronicles his unlimited-access experience following University of Michigan players and coaches. Also, he humors readers by recounting his six-week Wolverine workout where he shadowed University of Michigan’s football players.

Wiseley encourages students and faculty to come hear Bacon speak.

“He’s wonderful,” Wiseley said. “Just check him out on YouTube and you’ll see.”
