Udder Side open for season

Home City News Udder Side open for season

The Udder Side, a favorite spot for ice cream, has opened again for the year.

“I didn’t know it was open,” freshman Christina Lambert said. “I love the Udder Side. Monday will be a great time to plan some spontaneity and go!”

While the Udder Side is famous for its menu of soft and hard ice cream, ice cream cakes, cyclones, and ice cream drinks, the establishment also offers burgers, sandwiches, and even Mexican food.

“We always open up on February first,” Julie Bauer, owner of the Udder Side, said. “It’s a little slower right now, just due to the weather.”

Bauer and her family have owned the Udder Side for 24 years. For 10 out of those 24, it has been called the Udder Side. The stand changed locations by moving across the street from the original site.

The hours are Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
